We source our meat from local ranchers and other sources that insure animals that are humanely raised, vegetarian fed and grown without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. We also seek out wild, sustainably harvested seafood. We think you’ll agree it tastes great!

Winter Ridge offers grass fed, grass-finished meats
Health Benefits:
  • Grass fed animals are lower in fat and calories than grain-fed animals.
  • Grass fed meat has about the same fat as skinless chicken or wild deer or elk
  • Research suggests grass-fed beef has more nutrients; as much as 10 times more beta-carotene, 3 times more vitamin E and 3 times more omega-3 fatty acids


Environmental Benefits:

  • Grass-fed beef is less wasteful; eliminates waste-management issues associated with confined feedlots
  • Grazing is better for soil than growing grain
  • Growing corn and soy causes 6X more soil erosion than pasture
